Osama Shehata
Fitness Manager, Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, Group Fitness
Osama is a Certified Fitness Coach, Nutrition Specialist and he holds a Master Degree in Nutrition Sciences.
He aims to guide and inspire his clients to achieve their best results in achievable ways along with always keeping it entertaining.
He has experience with many different type of clients and specializes in boxing, bodybuilding, sports specific training along with weight loss and muscle building.
He is also a Certified Corrective Exercises Specialist and can help clients to focus on improving posture and balance, along with having a certification in physiotherapy and sports injuries from department of medical education foundation of the medicine university in Cairo.
He has been Coaching and leading clients with passion and motivation for more than 10 years focusing on all different kind of requirements to achieve the best results with full satisfaction.
Alex Montague
BSC Kinesiology, Personal Trainer, Fascial Stretch Therapist
Alex is a certified personal trainer with ACSM, a fascial stretch therapist, and a registered kinesiologist with BCAK. He graduated from UBC with his bachelors of kinesiology in 2015 and has been designing strength, weight loss, and corrective exercise programs for nearly five years.
Alex is skilled in assessing and correcting movement patterns, designing corrective exercise programs, muscle activation, bodybuilding techniques, and sports specific functional movement. Alex is currently a student of Osteopathy manual practice at the Candian School of Osteopathy.
He's a total "human body nerd" and loves to see clients succeed at whatever their goal may be. The puzzle of figuring out not only how to make the client move correctly, and overcome plateaus, but how to modify lifestyle habits and change the way they view food, exercise, and health is what makes him love his job so much.
Cora Coudreau
Personal Trainer, Group Fitness, Booty Specialist
Cora started her journey as a Personal
Trainer in Sydney (Australia), She quickly fell in love with this amazing industry as it allowed her to help people change their lives and build up their confidence.
Cora's method is simple and effective, lift weights and you will feel strong and sexy.

Bradon Budgell

Bradon is a ACE certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist with 10+ years of experience in the gym.
Going through his own transformation and losing over 80 pounds, he decided he wanted to help others create healthy habits and fall in love with lifting weights.
After suffering multiple knee and shoulder injuries playing sports, He developed a passion for helping people move pain free.
Creating an experience tailored to your lifestyle, Bradon will focus on achieving any goals you may have while making the gym your favourite part of the day. A session with Bradon will focus on moving pain free, lifting heavy, and having fun!
Haley Liu
BSC Kinesiology, Personal Trainer
Haley is a University of British Columbia graduate with a degree in Kinesiology. His fitness journey began as he navigated his own challenges and triumphs in embracing a healthier lifestyle.
Having experienced the struggles of starting a fitness journey firsthand, Haley is passionate about helping others overcome their own challenges to make fitness an enjoyable part of their lives. As a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a corrective exercise specialist.
Haley specializes in designing personalized programs tailored to individual needs and interests, focusing on body recomposition, muscle hypertrophy, and weight loss goals. Passionate about wellness and living by the mindset that investing time and effort into one's own health is the best thing one could ever do, he believes in making each session dynamic and fulfilling while seamlessly integrating fitness into busy lifestyles
Ben Twite
BSC Exercise & Sport Science, Personal Trainer
Ben is a certified Sports and Exercise Scientist, earning his bachelor's degree at RMIT University in Melbourne Australia where he grew up. Ben has 5 years of previous personal training experience working in various gyms/private studios around Melbourne.
Ben intends to advance the health outcomes and exercise performance of every individual client and specializes in weight loss, muscle building, and sports/athletic development. He intends to assist every client in improving their quality of life while assisting in achieving their specific personalized goals. He aims to create strong personal relationships with clients and lasting friendships. Ben creates personal, individualized programs that will guide you into achieving your goals.
Keeping a fit and strong lifestyle he also enjoys the outdoors and going on adventures, including hikes, skiing, and swimming along with many other team sports.
Candace Chau
BSC Kinesiology, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness
Candace is a recent graduate from the University of British Columbia where she completed her studies in the faculty of Kinesiology.
Her journey with weight training and fitness began in high school and soon turned into her passion. As a British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) certified personal trainer, Candace is passionate about helping others find fun and sustainable ways to achieve their health and fitness goals.
She specializes in strength and conditioning and health coaching. In her free time, Candace loves to cook a satisfying meal, explore BC’s trails, and spend time with her family and friends.
Steph Stresing
BSC Kinesiology, Personal Trainer, Nutritionist
Steph began her fitness journey more than 10 years ago as high performance track and field athlete. After sustaining an injury, she became more involved in long distance running and weight training. She has also participated in yoga and kick boxing.
Steph is a recent UBC Kinesiology graduate and American Council on Exercise (ACE )Certified Personal Trainer. She has focused her studies on understanding the barriers to exercise and finding solutions to promote increased overall health and quality of life for populations.
Steph has done work in creating health programs, including nutrition and exercise plans, for people with intellectual disabilities and is passionate about providing quality resources to diverse groups of people. She strongly believes that exercise prescription is not a “one size fits all” endeavour.
Brooklyn Arts

Brooklyn is an ACE-certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with a degree in Kinesiology.
Brooklyn combines her knowledge of pilates, cardio, and weightlifting to create a unique approach that targets all areas of a healthy physique according to your goals.
She’s passionate about the compounding effect of healthy habits through science-backed approaches that allow for sustainable success.

Rhett Trueman

Rhett is a NASM certified personal trainer who boasts an array of skill sets, delivering outstanding performance and results to his clients. With a passion for connecting with individuals and guiding them through transformative journeys, Rhett finds deep fulfillment in witnessing lifestyle changes unfold.
Family plays a pivotal role in his success, their unwavering support and kindness serving as pillars of strength. Outside of training, Rhett cherishes moments in nature with friends, embracing an active lifestyle cultivated since youth through various sports like soccer, tennis, and basketball.
Motivated by the profound impact training had on his own life, Rhett embarked on this path to extend the same transformative experience to others. Leaving a lasting imprint on someone's life, resonating with purpose, is not only a professional aspiration but a fundamental human desire.
Cassandra Kell-Cattrysse
BSC Kinesiology, Pilates & Group Fitness Instructor
Cassandra began a life of health and fitness from a very young age. She started dancing at the age of three, and continued to teach and compete throughout university. She also competed recreationally as a swimmer for 7 years, competed in various indoor triathlons, and worked as a swim coach and instructor for five years.
She has a bachelors degree in Kinesiology and has years of clinical experience in a kinesiology clinic. She has worked as a personal trainer and nutritionist with all ages, and various physical and mental conditions. Currently, she is pursing a masters in kinesiology at UBC focusing on exercise-treatment programs for depression.
Her passions is health and fitness currently lie in teaching pilates and group fitness. She believes that exercise is the best medicine for physical and mental health, and takes an approach to instructing which fosters connection and compassion towards our mind and body.
Elisa Cagnetta
Yoga Instructor
Elisa discovered her love for yoga while studying for her degree in Criminology. Once she graduated, she enrolled in Teacher Training at Semperviva Yoga where she completed their program and became a certified instructor with a background focused on Hatha and Vinyasa flow. She fell in love with her practice and has been teaching since 2017.
For Elisa, yoga is not only reserved for the studio or what you do on your mat. Yoga is a state of being. It is how you carry yourself through the world and how you treat others. Yoga teaches us to breathe through some of the most uncomfortable positions we can be in which translates perfectly, on and off the mat.
Her practice is a valuable tool that helps clients stay grounded and present in their everyday lives. It’s about building up our strength and mindfulness.
Elisa is forever grateful for her practice and is excited to flow with the incredible community, at VIP.
Naila Topan
Private & Group Pilates Instructor
Naila is a Pilates + Yoga guide who is passionate about moving mindfully and intentionally. Her teaching style is accessible and designed to connect clients with their bodies. She combines breath with postures and sequences to help clients access deeper muscle and core strength.
Her style is challenging but also sweet, and she enjoys teaching all levels who want to build on their mind/body connection, strength and flexibility!
Matthew Cartier
Massage Specialist
Matt began his career in 2011 where he obtained his Diploma of Massage from the Alberta College of Massage Therapy and has acquired over 10000 hours of treatment time working in multidisciplinary clinics since then. He was drawn to Massage Therapy due to an interest in body mechanics and general biology, as well as seeing the benefits it had on family members with mobility issues and muscle restrictions.
Matt believes that a combination of exercise, nutrition and soft tissue treatments are key in maintaining a healthy active lifestyle and takes great pride in being able to positively impact the quality of life in his clients with simple and accurate applications of pressure and motion.
Matt tailors every treatment to each individual as needed using different techniques such as Deep Tissue Release, Triggerpoint Therapy and Active Release Therapy among other techniques which can be focused to address specific problem areas, a general whole body focus, or just to help de-stress and relax. His specialties include general range of motion improvements as well as reducing: tension headaches, neck and lower back pain, shoulder restrictions, forearm numbness and weakness, lower leg tension, and shin splints.
Phaedra Wright
Founder, CEO, Personal Trainer, Nutritionist
Phaedra is a dedicated entrepreneur and has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. Growing up dancing competitively and professionally, she has always had a passion for fitness and health. For 12 years she assisted a variety of clientele achieve their goals through 1 on 1 personal training, group fitness and dance classes.
Through her journey as a sought after personal trainer and nutritionist, she came to discover that physical activity is just one component of achieving a lasting lifestyle change. Including access to nutrition and life coaching with her personal training program offered an extremely effective approach and yielded amazing results for her clients. The importance of adapting to each individual clientele was proven time and time again.
She started her first personal training company in 2011, rebranded to VIP in 2015 and finally opened her first store front location at the end of 2018. Since opening the location she has led an amazing team of trainers and practitioners through a world pandemic, pivoting and adapting multiple times. Although facing extreme challenges her focus and drive has given her the strength to continue through extremely unprecedented times. She now leads the team and continues to pass on her knowledge and experience to both staff and clientele.
Building a positive and inclusive “gym” environment was always at the forefront of her goals.
Lindsey Fanning
General Manager, Yoga Instructor
Lindsey is a dynamic and passionate professional dedicated to fostering wellness through fitness and mindfulness practices.
As the General Manager of VIP Fitness & Lifestyle, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the community. With a background in both management and yoga instruction, Lindsey seamlessly integrates fitness with mental well-being to create a supportive and empowering environment for all members.
After discovering the transformative power of yoga for herself, she became a certified yoga instructor, eager to share the benefits of this practice with others. Lindsey specializes in a range of yoga modalities including: Vinyasa; Hatha; Yin; and Pre Natal Yoga. She is passionate about offering an accessible practice for all experience levels.
Her classes are known for their emphasis on alignment, breathwork, and mindfulness, helping students to cultivate strength, flexibility, and inner peace.
With her unique blend of expertise, passion, and leadership, Lindsey is making a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals, empowering them to lead healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.
Debora Lima
Studio Coordinator
Debora's relationship with VIP started as a personal training client and gym member. She has harboured an enduring love for physical fitness, recognizing its profound impact on both her emotional and physical well-being. This passion has guided her to a fulfilling career at VIP, where she witnesses firsthand the transformative power of regular exercise and healthy living.
Working at VIP not only provides Debora with a platform to indulge in her love for fitness but also allows her to observe the remarkable progress and determination of the members. This firsthand experience serves as a constant source of inspiration, motivating her to further embrace her own fitness journey.
Beyond her role at VIP, Debora's dedication to wellness extends into her everyday life.
